We are starting to discuss multiplication. This is a skill that your child will benefit from practicing at home. Along with practicing the tables, you can also use the following link to access a variety of games which will make practicing more fun! Remember to access prodigy as well as there have been many relevant questions assigned there.

As always, students are encouraged to read every night and discuss what they have read with an adult or sibling. They can place a focus on making inferences and predictions. A good activity (particularly if your child is reading a chapter book) is to stop after each chapter or every few chapters and make predictions about what will happen next. Have your child explain why they are making a particular prediction by using proof from the text and their own ideas.
We continue to work on procedural writing. Encourage your child to write out a procedure for anything they are doing at home that requires steps (e.g., a recipe, brushing their teeth, cleaning their room, etc.)
